Research Center for Gold Chemisty was closed (30th, Nov. 2020)

Update:2020.11.30

Research Center for Gold Chemisty was closed on November 30, 2020.

And we joined the Research Center for Hydrogen Energy-based Society (ReHES), Tokyo Metropolitan University as Prof. Murayama’s Group.

The predecessor Research Center for Gold Chemistry was established to pioneer new chemistry of gold based on catalysis, and was completed the role in November 2020.

We have been members of ReHES from December 2020 and are conducting research on "gold science and environmental chemistry" as well as "efficient use of hydrogen", both of which will be important technology in the near future. For gold nanoparticle catalysts, CO-PROX (preferential oxidation of CO under hydrogen-rich conditions), WGS (water-gas shift reaction), and selective synthesis of methanol by CO2 reduction have been reported. We are conducting research aiming at three-dimensional structural analysis of gold clusters, surface chemical properties, and simple chemistry that saves energy and resources, and does not produce by-products.
